Fair Trade – Synod 07

Posted: October 10, 2007 in fair trade

The UnitingSpiritually Fair Trade Stall at Synod over the weekend was a huge success. We sold over $1000 worth of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and chocolate. The products were provided by Keiraview Uniting Church and State of Bean. THANKS to Fiona & Mick!

Meags even managed to put a proposal before Synod to make sure all Tea & Coffee used at future meetings will be Fair Trade! Great stuff Meags!

many of you know that US has been promoting fair trade goods – especially tea, coffee and chocolate for awhile now… you can read more about fair trade here

well a couple of exciting opportunites have come our way.

the 1st is that we’re going to host a fair trade stall at the NSW Uniting Church annual meeting at the Canterbury racecourse 6-9 October.

the 2nd is that we’re wanting to set up a regular presence at the wollongong mall markets on fridays.

if you’d be willing to participate and help out with either of these projects leave a comment or email dave
